The Bible Tour 2015

 In Concert Photography, Non-Profit

Over the past couple of months, I have been working with members of the ChildFund Team on designing resources for use on THE BIBLE TOUR 2015 (http://thebibletour2015.com) presented by KLOVE (http://www.klove.com) and ChildFund (https://www.childfund.org) as well as NBC, 25 Live, a division of Word Entertainment (http://www.wordentertainment.com) and Lightworkers Media (http://www.lightworkersmedia.com).

This past Friday, I was able to meet up with the tour in Philadelphia to see all of the print materials first hand. If you are unfamiliar with The Bible Tour, it features live performances by some of the top names in Christian music like: Steven Curtis ChapmanFrancesca BattistelliBrandon Heath and Danny Gokey (who came in third on season 8 of American Idol) as well as a presentation from Jeremy Willet (http://www.jeremywillet.com) on behalf of ChildFund (https://www.childfund.org/thebibletour/). The concert features video footage from The Bible Mini-Series (http://www.bibleseries.tv) and the Son of God Feature Film (http://www.sonofgodmovie.com) as a backdrop to the performers songs. This was no doubt a very unique concert experience as they managed to integrate popular songs from the artists with footage from the films. The timing of the tour could not have been more appropriate as it started only days after the celebration of Easter.

Personally, I was involved in designing the Bible Tour Book Bands that wrap around handmade journals from Kenya. When concert attendees choose to sponsor a child, they are presented with a handmade journal, pen and bookmark as a gift for their contribution. In addition to designing the book bands and pens, I was then asked to design a table top banner highlighting the journals, an informative postcard to take home and 5 unique vinyl banners with photos from a recent trip to Kenya to visit sponsored children. Finally, I worked with ChildFund to create the 10ft backdrop for behind their table. This needed to be a bold banner that was easily identifiable as the audience left the auditorium. Having worked with several non-profits over the years, I really appreciate ChildFund’s dedication to creating high quality materials to better enhance the user experience.
