Google announces “mobile-friendly” label
You work hard to get your website to show up when someone searches Google. Whether you do SEO (search engine optimization) yourself, or you hire a company to do it, you’ve invested a lot of time and money in to making sure people can find your website.
At the end of 2014, Google announced that they were shaking things up yet again. As of November 18, 2014, Google started to unroll what they’ve deemed the “mobile-friendly” label to mobile search results. You can read more about that here. With an expected 2 billion smartphone and tablet users by 2017, (http://www.juniperresearch.com/viewpressrelease.php?pr=491f) Google is taking steps to improve your mobile search experience. It is unclear if this will soon lead to only “mobile-friendly” websites being displayed on phones and tablets. Before potentially lowering your ranking in Google searches, check to make sure that your website is up to par.
